Training for Doula
We offer both virtual and in person trainings
Birth Doulas
A doula is a trained professional who provides continuous physical, emotional, and informational support before, during, and after childbirth. While they do not replace medical providers such as doctors or midwives, doulas play an important role in helping clients navigate the birthing process. They offer comfort measures, guidance, and support, while encouraging clear communication between families and their care team. Doulas advocate for a client’s preferences but do not speak on behalf of the family
Postpartum Doulas
A postpartum doula is a trained professional who provides support, education, and guidance to families in the weeks and months after childbirth. They offer a range of non-medical services, including emotional support, assistance with newborn care such as feeding and soothing, help with light household tasks, and support for siblings. Their primary goal is to nurture and care for the parent—often described as “mothering the mother”—while helping the entire family adjust to life with a new baby.
