When I first began my journey as a doula, I knew I wanted to support families through one of the most transformative experiences of their lives. What I didn't know was just how far that journey would take me.

Over the years, my career as a doula has taken me far and wide, connecting me with incredible families, beautiful birth experiences, and opportunities I could have never imagined when I first started.

And yes—even all the way to Hawaii! 🌺

One of the most memorable experiences in my career was traveling to Hawaii to support a family during such an important and personal chapter of their lives. Being invited into a family's birth journey is an incredible honor, no matter where you are. But having the opportunity to travel across the country and provide that support in such a beautiful place was something I will always carry with me.

The Heart of Doula Work

Being a doula isn't simply about attending births.

It's about showing up.

It's about listening when someone needs to be heard, providing reassurance when things feel overwhelming, helping families feel informed and confident, and creating a calm presence during moments that can feel anything but calm.

Every family teaches you something. Every birth adds another layer of experience. Every journey reminds you why this work matters.

For me, becoming a doula has been so much more than a career. It has been a journey filled with meaningful connections, lifelong memories, personal growth, and the privilege of being welcomed into some of life's most sacred moments.

And that is one of the beautiful things about becoming a doula—you never truly know where this path may lead you.
